Our Literacy section
complements the
National
Literacy Strategy. A full unit of work is provided:
weekly lesson plans, worksheets, interactive resources and assessment.
Text
Level
This section covers work on reading, writing and comprehension of text
as a whole. Included are weekly lesson plans that develop a theme
such as persuasive writing, information texts and settings. Books
suggested represent those well-used and will-liked in primary schools.
Sentence
Level
This section covers
sentence meaning and structure, grammar, punctuation and word order.
Included are lesson plans, interactive activities, worksheets and tests.
Word
Level
This section covers spelling patterns, word choice and word format
conventions. Included are lesson plans, interactive activities,
worksheets and tests.
Book
Related Planning
This section provides weekly lessons that incorporate Text, Sentence and
Word Level work appropriate to a year group and term specified.
Books used are well-known Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 books.
