General information
Background: Founded in 1967; equipped with full facilities, including swimming pool, gymnasium, laboratories and new library; reliant, however, on a number of temporary classrooms. Full range of Scottish qualifications offered, where pupil numbers permit; no drama department. Extra-curricular programme covers activities of a sporting, aesthetic and cultural nature. Music an important part of school life; pupils regularly perform in concerts. Catch, school's charity group, has raised funds for nearly 30 different causes since founded in 1995. School also benefits from financial support of parent-teacher association. Discussions ongoing about replacing existing buildings with new school in 2008/2009. Ethos: 'The school aims to promote a caring and cooperative atmosphere.' .
