Background: Loirston Primary School was opened in 1981. It is situated in Cove Bay on the south east side of the city of Aberdeen. Loirston itself, together with Cove and Altens form the catchment area served by the school. The building has three units designated as red, blue and yellow for ease of identification. The school aims to promote good citizenship through self-discipline, self-reliance and consideration for others and the environment. .
