Background: Ellon Primary School is located in the centre of Ellon, a thriving country town situated on the banks of the River Ythan, 17 miles north of the city of Aberdeen. One of three primary schools in Ellon, it was built in 1962 with traditional classrooms. Since then it has twice been extended. A new infant block was added in 1996 and the nursery section was completed in 2000. A range of extra-curricular activities are also available including netball, football and Scottish country dancing. .
