Background: Colgrain Primary school opened for the session of 1973 - 74. The school building has a modern, semi-open plan design. It is situated in pleasant surroundings bordered by open countryside to the rear of the school grounds. The school grounds are quite extensive and include a football pitch. The school aims to provide a happy and relaxed atmosphere in and outside the school.
