General information

Background: Moss Hall Junior School opened in 1952. It is a three-form entry school for 360 boys and girls between the ages of 7 and 11. The junior school works in close collaboration with Moss Hall Infant School and Moss Hall Nursery School, which occupy the same site. In addition to the classrooms, which have integral stockrooms, there are two smaller teaching rooms for group work and an additional open-plan group area. Children have weekly lessons in the information and communication technology room where they are able to work in pairs. The school library, which is available to all children in all year groups, has a fully computerised catalogue and children are taught how to use the system when borrowing or returning books, or when seeking information about book availability. The school aims to encourage children to achieve their full potential and to offer them a broad and balanced curriculum.
