General information

Background: Elsecar Primary was originally founded in about 1865 and is situated on the edge of countryside between Barnsley and Rotherham. Its site now consists of the original stone building with five classrooms; a brick built hall and dining room, a stone administration block, a temporary block housing the playgroup, a small playing field and three playgrounds. It has strong links with the local Church and regularly participates in fundraising activities for the Church and children's charities. The school strives towards the atmosphere of a friendly village school. The school aims to serve the community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice.
