General information

Background: Culverhay School is situated on the southwestern fringe of Bath but draws pupils form all parts of the city. It is set in extensive grounds overlooking beautiful countryside towards Englishcombe Village. The facilities are excellent and include an indoor swimming pool and sports centre, three computer suites and purpose-built laboratories and technology areas. A new library, new humanities block and a modern facility for teaching music have been recently added. A wide range of extra-curricular activities are offered at lunchtime and after-school. These activities include athletics, basketball, rugby, gymnastics, swimming, hockey, cricket, racquet sports and outdoor activities. The school aims to provide a safe, supportive environment in which pupils can learn and their right to learn is recognised.
