General information
Background: Situated on the south side of Bath; curriculum covers wide range of academic and vocational courses; strong system of support helps students of all abilities. A school-wide tutor programme helps staff to monitor the development and achievement of individual students. An extensive programme of clubs includes athletic, intellectual, musical, artistic, recreational, technological and spiritual activities; the school aims to involve each pupil in at least one activity beyond the timetabled school day. Tennis, rugby, cricket, football, rounders, basketball, badminton, trampolining and gymnastics are some of the sports available; dancers from the school appear in the annual showcase performance at Bath's Stages. Specialist science college status. Before-school care, from 8.15am. Over-subscribed, with 1.3 applications per place.
