General information

Background: Brooklands Middle School was built in the late 1950s, to replace the former school for boys and girls; Beaudesert School and the Mary Bassett School. The first phase of the building was completed in 1950 and in January, 260 boys form Beaudesert School transferred to Brooklands. With the completion of the second phase of the building in 1960, girls form the Mary Bassett School arrived to create a mixed secondary school of 660 pupils aged. In the 1970s, when the county was re-organised into a three-tier system of education Brooklands was designated as a Middle School. A wide range of extra-curricular activities are offered at lunchtime and after-school. These activities include music, drama, French, art and design The school aims to offer a happy, safe and secure environment in a family atmosphere.
