General information

Background: Erith School is a mixed bilateral school serving the needs of 2007 boys and girls between the ages of 11 and 18. It is one of the two largest schools in the London Borough of Bexley. Over nine million pounds has been invested in new buildings, including a sports hall, a dining room, a creative arts studio, science laboratories, technology laboratories, a mathematics suite, a humanities suite, a library and tennis courts, and art and modern foreign languages have been refurbished. The school offers a wide range of extra-curricular clubs, sporting activities, overseas visits and field trips. These activities are open to all pupils. It runs a very successful activities week, which has included visits to Disneyland, Manchester United and days in France. Pupils have also participated in mountain biking, dry skiing, fishing, water sports, orienteering on an army assault course and many more activities. The school aims to create a positive learning environment, so that each pupil is valued as an individual.
