General information

Background: Trinity School is the only Church of England Secondary School in the Borough of Bexley. It won National School achievement awards in 2001, 2002 and 2003. The school has a mixture of modern and traditional teaching environments. The modern buildings form part of the recent and continuing development which now include a sports hall, extensive ICT facilities, and music, modern foreign languages, and mathematics areas. In September the school's provision also included new science laboratories, media suite, a drama and dance studio, art studios and facilities for whole class teaching. Extra-curricular activities include drama, dance club, choir, sports tournaments, sports clubs, good news club, activities day, carol concert, charity events, holidays and educational visits abroad, theatre workshops, individual music tuition, revision classes, technology, and homework clubs. With the expansion of the sports facilities at Trinity it is able to provide pupils with a wide range of sporting opportunities. Current disciplines offered at Trinity include basketball, netball, trampolining, football, rugby, orienteering, gymnastics, swimming, bowling, athletics, and tennis. The school has been awarded the Sportsmark award in recognition of its excellence in sport. Trinity School is in the process of establishing links with local primary schools as part of the school sports coordinator programme, funded in part by sport England. Trinity School has an expanding sixth form.
