Background: Westwood College is a mixed community secondary school, situated in a residential area of Welling in London and catering for students aged 11 to 16 years. The accommodation is on one site with an adjacent primary school. Facilities include a science block providing six laboratories, technology workshops, a control technology room, a food technology room and a design and graphics room. There is a suite of four rooms in which the college ICT and Business Studies programmes are delivered, and there are two halls which are used for assemblies, college productions and some teaching. There is a specialist drama studio, a computerised library, a music suite, a purpose-built stage with specialist lighting and sound systems, a specialist curriculum development centre, an art and ceramics block, a sports hall, and outdoor games facilities.
