General information

Background: Red Lane School was opened in 1953 under the name Breightnet Primary School. In 1991 the school charged its name and is now called Red Lane Primary School. The school has a role of approximately 440 pupils including a 78-place nursery. In the last 12 months a neighborhood nursery has been built adjacent to the school nursery to offer childcare. The also offers wrap-around care for working parents. Red Lane School is sited in spacious grounds including two football pitches, a wildlife area and extensive gardens. The school aims to create a happy yet challenging learning environment where children are guided and encouraged to become independent learners, tolerant of the views and ideas of others.
