General information

Background: Galashiels Academy is situated at the southern end of the valley of the Gala Water about a mile upstream of its confluence with the River Tweed. The school aims to provide a broad and balanced curriculum. Outdoor facilities comprise two rugby pitches, two hockey pitches and seven tennis courts, four of which have an all weather surface and can be used for other sports. The music department of the school has two opportunities during the school year to show off their pupils skills to parents and friends of the academy. Galashiels Academy aims to provide the best possible learning environment for its entire community.
