Background: Kirkhope Primary School is in Ettrickbridge, a small village approximately seven miles from Selkirk. It has 30 pupils in the primary school and 10 nursery children. The school aims to provide a broad and balanced curriculum. Kirkhope sports club has a full sized sports field one hard tennis court, winter curling (rarely used) and a small wooden sports pavilion with limited catering. The school uses the sports field in the summer. The school aims to provide very happy welcoming school.
