Has strong academic ethos, but culture and sport also regarded as important. Extensive playing fields include all-weather playing surface. Specialist subjects taught include French, Latin, Greek, PE, art, music and drama; strong in performing arts as well as modern and classical languages; many pupils successful in London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art examinations and music examinations. In addition, 75 per cent of Year 5 pupils receive individual instrumental tuition. Productions, concerts, sporting events, including matches against other similar preparatory schools, part of normal timetable. Rugby, hockey, netball, cricket, rounders, gymnastics, athletics, tennis and swimming are offered. Charity fundraiser each term. Day pupils supervised from 7.30am; after-school provision until 6.30pm. Partly selective; procedures include assessment during 'in-day' for pupils.
