General information
Background: Founded by Church of England in late 1800s to serve local community. Has a 'good' musical tradition; tuition available for woodwind, string, brass and percussion instruments. Sports activities: athletics, rounders, cricket, swimming, tennis and netball. Supports school in Uganda; various other fundraising activities. St Katherine aims 'to provide an education which places importance on the development of the whole personality of each child and an environment in which every child feels valued and in which the children value themselves.' .
