General information

Background: Edgbarrow School is a successful, fully developed, mixed 11-18 comprehensive school with an increasing sixth form. It is a popular, over-subscribed school and in recent years the student numbers have grown to over 1100. The school is situated on the edge of Crowthorne in wonderful tree lined surroundings, offering an excellent location which is both tranquil and safe for the pupils in order that they may concentrate on their education. The school offers excellent specialist accommodation for the teaching of art, science, design technology, music and drama block was completed in 1992 and is available to all pupils during the school day and for extra-curricular activities. It has drama hall, gymnasium, sports hall, sixth form common room and use of the leisure centre facilities during the school day. The school has a wide range of clubs and activities including art, Christian Union, information and communication technology, history, music and a wide range of sports. The school believes in developing strong partnerships with parents and members of the wider community, students will helped to become good citizens. The school aims to promote academic excellence, mutual respect and a sense of community within a vibrant, purposeful working environment enabling all individuals to develop their talents and acquire skills for life.
