Background: Sandy Lane Primary School was opened in September 2002, following the amalgamation of Sandy Lane Infant and Nursery School and Sandy Lane Junior School. Currently the school has 14 classes and 2 nursery sessions present everyday. The school provides a wide range of opportunities both within the classroom and through extra-curricular clubs, which include residential journeys to Lakeside in Cumbria, dance and choir activities, football, tag rugby, cross-country and netball. The school aims to provide all children with a learning environment where they can thrive, be happy and feel valued and secure.
