General information
Background: Oakworth Primary School is a two-form entry foundation school, catering for full-time boys and girls aged three to 11. The school was built on the grounds of Sir Isaac Holden's outdoor gardens. During the 1960's two extensions were built coming off the hall. Recently a further storey has been added to these and the hall extended to provide a library. The school aims to provide broad and balanced curriculum. A wide range of extra-curricular activities are offered at lunchtime and after-school. These activities include football, netball, cricket, hockey and rugby. The school aims to provide a safe, secure, happy healthy and stimulating environment.
