General information

Background: St Joseph 's is a two-form entry, voluntary aided, Catholic primary school serving principally the parishes of St. Joseph 's, Keighley, Our Lady of Lourdes and Haworth . The school is located to the west of Keighley, just beyond the town center and over looking the Worth Valley Railway. St Joseph 's school was originally built in 1922 and extended in 1968 to provide office accommodation and additional classrooms. In 1999 the school buildings were extensively refurbished with the provision of a new hall and nursery. The school has expanded and developed from a local, parish-based school to one very much part of the local community, but one that has a far wider catchment area. A variety of clubs are held including football, netball, rugby, rounders, karate, drama, and homework clubs.Children regularly take part in inter school matches, tournaments and other events.
