General information
Background: Islamia Primary School was opened in October 1983. It moved to its present premises in Kilburn in 1991. The school was founded by Muslims and is part of the growth and evolution of Islam in Britain. It is one of the very few Muslim schools to be state-funded in Britain. It is a co-educational, multi-ethnic, and multi-lingual primary school. At first just a nursery, but it quickly grew to an infant and then a junior school too. The school strives to provide the best education, in a secure Islamic environment, through the knowledge and application of the Qur'an and Sunnah.
