General information

Background: John Kelly Boys' Technology College became a technology college in 1994 and provides free secondary education for over 600 11 to 18 years old of all academic abilities. The curriculum includes all the subjects of the national curriculum but specialises in science, mathematics, technology and information and communication technology. Industry related projects and work experience are available which support mutually beneficial links between education and industry. There are many opportunities to develop the pupils? qualities of enterprise, self-reliance and responsibility. The building has halls, a canteen, a dining area, and sports and recreational facilities. The college runs lunchtime and after-college clubs for football, basketball, table tennis, tennis, cricket, and athletics. The college's boys benefit from a broad, balanced and creative education through a national curriculum enhanced by sponsorship and industrial partnership.
