General information

Background: The school buildings were built approximately 30 years ago and are located adjacent to the M4 motorway, approximately mid-way between Cardiff and Swansea. The school serves a community that has seen major changes from the traditional industries of mining and farming to those of light industry and technological manufacture. Extra-curricular activities include: drama and musical productions, rugby, football, hockey, netball, swimming, public speaking, community, business and environmental projects, exchange visits to France and Germany, Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme etc. The school is striving to become a community dedicated to fulfilling the potential of all, in order to develop valued citizens of tomorrow, by providing a stimulating and effective learning environment for all, enabling everyone to acquire the knowledge, understanding and skills they will need for quality of life and personal well-being.
