Background: Biggin Hill Junior School is a non-denominational, mixed day school maintained by the London Borough of Bromley. It provides a general education for children between the ages seven and 11. It is situated in a quiet residential area and shares the site with Biggin Hill Infant School. It was opened in May 1981 and enjoys excellent modern facilities set in attractive grounds. Each classroom has its own computer and each teaching group has its own well equipped practical area for science, technology, art and design, cookery. The school curriculum has core subjects including English, mathematics, science and information and communication technology and foundation subjects including technology, history, geography, music, art and physical education. Fundraising for charity is an important part of the life of the school. The school aims to provide a secure and friendly community in which children can learn and develop to their full potential.
