Background: Gray's Farm Primary School is located just off the A20 at the edge of the London Borough of Bromley, adjoining the London Borough of Bexley. The school, which was opened in 1953, is a two-form entry primary school with around 430 children on roll in single age group, mixed ability classes. It has a large assembly hall, a separate dining hall, two teaching rooms for group work and a library. There is a well-equipped ICT suite and a teaching room for children with special educational needs. A music room is used for music workshop and visiting specialists. The school is committed to continued professional development to enable all staff to carry out their roles effectively. It takes an active part in the area's sports fixtures and its extra-curricular activities include football, netball, gym club, choir, cricket and rugby in season. Teams take part in borough relay, cross country and athletics competitions. The school's aim is to make every one of its children a valuable member of society and engender a lifelong love of learning.
