General information
Background: Brookmead is a foundation primary school for children between the ages of four and 11. It is located in the picturesque village of Ivinghoe, Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom. The main buildings opposite the school entrance house the school office, the infant and the Acorns nursery department. The junior department is linked by a covered walkway and also houses the library and the ICT room. The school's facilities include a science and technology room and a swimming pool. It has extensive grounds including two netball pitches, a football pitch and a wildlife area. The school organises various clubs including country dancing, choir, athletics, gymnastics, swimming and cross-country. The school has achieved DfES achievement award (2003). The school aims to ensure that the opportunity to develop successfully is grasped to the full, by every pupil.
