Background: Built in 1960 adjacent to Burnham village, one mile from Slough industrial estate, on borders of Buckinghamshire and Berkshire; much extended since 1995. New building programme completed in 2005; new all-weather pitch; new sixth-form suite. The school is a prize-winner in local arts festivals for music, poetry and prose. Local authority professional develoipment school. Specialist science college status. Schools Curriculum Award (2003); Sportsmark (2004); Investor in People status (2005); DfES achievement award (2002, 2003); training school status (2003).
