General information

Background: High Ash is a voluntary controlled Church of England co-educational school, for children aged four to 11 years. The school is situated in the village of Great Brickhill on the outskirts of Milton Keynes. It enjoys a panoramic, rural setting with all the facilities of a large town on the doorstep. Its grounds are both attractive and functional including a quiet garden area, activity playground areas, outdoor swimming pool, hard court games facilities and playing fields. Inside, the children benefit from light, spacious, well-equipped classrooms and shared areas such as the library and ICT room, food technology and hall/gymnasium. The children are encouraged to participate in a wide range of activities including music, drama and sport. There is the opportunity to take lessons in violin, piano, guitar, recorder and a variety of wind and brass instruments. The children's education is enriched through appropriate day visits and residential trips. The school is committed to the Healthy Schools standard. There is a very active school association. The school aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. It encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith, and promotes Christian values through the experience it offers to all its pupils. .
