General information

Background: The school aims to be a 'friendly community where courtesy and discipline are nurtured and where each child is given the opportunity to make the most of individual talents'. Originally built in the 1970s, the school building is a single 'honey-coloured' brick building, designed so its classrooms overlook a 'very attractive' grassed central area. There is a large playground, playing field, 'exceptionally well-equipped fully networked' computer suite (linked to the internet), technology studio and assembly hall. The new envionmental studies area was built last year in the school grounds by staff, parents and pupils' working together. Manor Farm has a 'particular reputation' for the fine and performing arts. Its productions have been described as 'excellent and highly professional' in the school report. In the summer Manor Farm holds an exhibition of children's art work for parents and the wider community. The school considers sport to be a 'strong' part of school life, with 'active' netball, soccer and cricket teams. The girls' football team are currently league champions. The school is currently oversubscribed with 1.25 applications to each place.
