Since the school opened the first and middle schools have had a common governing body and most of the pupils come from the Tylers Green first school. Extra-curricular activities include a choir, an orchestra, recorder club, netball, football, table-tennis, cricket, and athletics clubs, a chess club, the library, cycling awareness and the pupil committee. There are school teams for football and netball. Last year the football team won the district and county six-a-side tournaments and the netball A-team came third in tournanments. The school holds events throughout the year including a musical production, a Comic Relief talent show and a musical soiree. The school encourages children to raise money for charity.
