General information
Background: Chesham School is a primary day school catering for boys and girls aged four to 11 years. The main aim of Chesham School is the fullest possible development of each individual child, and the curriculum of the school is one of the principal instruments through which this aim is achieved. Chesham prides itself on the extra-curricular activities which are offered to the children. School sports teams are entered in competitions organised by the Bury Junior Schools Sports Association and also more general events where and when appropriate. Through the commitment of the staff the school has a good tradition in many sports including: cross-country, football, netball, swimming, rounders, athletics, and badminton. To complement the sport there are the other activities which enrich the children?s experiences. These currently include art, drama competitions, theatre trips and a choir.
