General information

Background: The school is situated in a beautiful rural setting having extensive grounds and large playing fields, including football pitch and two football courts/playgrounds. There is a nature pond, which is used by all its children and a woodland area with an outside classroom. The school is always striving to improve the facilities of the school. The prize money from competitions has enabled it to develop the outside play facilities, garden areas and fencing. The school has a large hall, which is a well equipped gymnasium. Its computer room is equipped with a network of computers. All classrooms have a network connection that enables connection to the school network of over 30 computers. During the last few years the school has benefited from extensive refurbishment to the outside of the building. This work has included a new roof, replacement of all external doors, double glazed PVC windows, new fire escapes, outside lighting, block paving and outdoor altar at the front of the school. A full range of extra-curricular opportunities is open to all and there are teams for football, netball, swimming, badminton, cross-country, rounder and cricket. Children and staff 'work hard together' on charitable works, supporting CAFOD, Action Aid and Amnesty International. The parent teacher association raises funds to support and improve facilities and curriculum resources in the school. The school's ethos is built on the Christian approaches of care, courtesy and concern.
