General information

Background: All Saints' Church of England VA was built in 1854 using a trust fund set up by the Wakefield Diocese and managed by The Vicar of Halifax Parish Church. When All Saints Church was established, the parish council took over the management of the trust deed. The school became voluntary controlled in 1944. Present school building was erected in 1909. The headteacher's room was added in 1933. An extension has been built to provide two new classrooms and new toilet facilities. The junior department is divided into two houses: Warneford (red) and Rose-Price (navy blue). There is an onsite playground and older children use nearby Savile Park for games. The junior department attends Halifax Swimming Pool. Church community rooms have been used for music lessons, RE and art lessons, personal and social discussion groups and interviews. Parents are welcome to visit the school and are encouraged to become involved with their child's education. Parent voluntary helpers are an important feature of the school. Extra curricular activities include netball, football, drama and music.
