General information
Background: Colden School was opened in 1878 shortly after the education reform act. Since that date successive headteacher have kept detailed records of the day to day running of the school. There is a good range of well-attended extra-curricular clubs including sporting activities. The use of the local environment and history to raise pupils? awareness of their heritage and reinforce their learning in all subjects is exemplary. A pupil from the school Hebe Fitzsimmons who correctly answered a question posed by Mr Anthony Greenwood, headteacher opened the ICT suite at Colden Junior and Infant School on Monday 14th November.
