General information

Background: The school opened in 1972. The school faciliteis include: nine classrooms, a large hall, a dual purpose dining area and a library, two hard play areas, a sports field and a large grassed area. Drama, recorder and choir clubs meet at lunchtime or after school. Special events involving music and drama are held regularly and netball, cricket, football, hockey, gymnastics, volleyball, basketball and athletics are all played. After-school sports clubs include football, netball and gymnastics, for which visiting coaches are used. Old Earth School has well-established links with Calderdale Arts in School Association and, whenever possible, it arranges visits to galleries, museums and theatres. The school aims to make its environment a bright, cheerful, welcoming place which reflects the care and concern shown throughout the school. .
