General information

Background: Housed in buildings that have been re-modelled to create bright, modern environment with improved accommodation and provision. Close links with St John's Church; vicar takes active part in school life. Collective worship assemblies take place each day; annual Sunday service for children and their parents. The school aims for children 'to acquire a set of moral and spiritual values and understanding of Christian beliefs, while developing a respect for other faiths and a reverence for all life'. Extra-curricular activities include chess, French, creative movement, folk dancing, football, netball, percussion, orchestra, ball skills, recorders, computers, gymnastics and story club. Groups also take part in concerts, productions and assemblies throughout the year. Traditional team sports and games are catered for; mixed five-a-side football and netball tournaments take place during summer term. Regular educational visits throughout the year.
