General information

Background: The school was opened as an 11-18 comprehensive in 1968 on a purpose-built campus to the west of Cardiff, just two miles from the city centre. The site has exceptional facilities such as large playing fields with a floodlit cricket wicket, swimming pool, three large gymnasia and halls. In addition there is a youth centre on site. A newly furbished learning centre has been equipped with the latest computer technology and is open for extra-curricular activities. Subjects are taught within suites of rooms, all with audio-visual, satellite TV and white board facilities. The school aims to encourage all pupils to achieve their potential with equal opportunities for all. The multi-cultural aspect of school life is celebrated and promoted.
