Background: The School is a specialist college of science and the visual arts. There is a wide range of courses in both subjects, at GCSE and A Level and an innovative community programme.There is a varied programme of extra curricular activities, including residential opportunities. The school has recently won the International Schools Silver Award for its relationships with schools in other countries. There is broad range of sport clubs and teams with some notable recent successes; North West U18 Boys Hockey Champions, finalist in North West Junior Girls Tennis Championships.In addition to impressive sports facilities, which include floodlit all weather pitches, a swimming pool and a sports centre with health and fitness suite; the school has undergone significant expansion in recent years, with a modern drama theatre, new dining facilities, new foyer and exhibition area.Future plans include an Eco- Laboratory, additional ICT suites and a Community Exhibition Centre, making the Neston High School campus an extended educational facility at the heart of the communityMusic, drama and the Performing Arts flourish with regular concerts, plays and productions.Each year the school community raises large sums of money for charity and recently the school was given an award for raising enough money for Water Aid to build two wells in two different villages in the developing world. Neston High School believes that each member of the community has a unique and equal worth. It fosters mutual care, respect and ambition for all. The school is calm, orderly and relationships are respectful. There is a strong work ethic throughout the school.
