General information

Background: The school caters for pupils from wide catchment area, expanded rapidly since established in 1960s on Hartford Campus, in delightful rural setting. A £3 million building programme was completed in 2003 provide an enhanced sixth-form centre, arts centre, additional laboratories and classrooms. Since then a £2.5 million programme began in 2006 to provide a sports hall and a classroom extension. The school prides itself on wide range of curriculum strengths and provision of varied extra-curricular program, which include residential, foreign exchanges, MFL trips abroad, choir?s European concert tour and Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme. The school has developed a highly successful primary/secondary liaison curriculum project in partnership with partner primary schools. The school raises more than £12,000 a year for charities. It received Specialist Business and Enterprise College Status in September 2004. The school has been awarded the Schools Curriculum Award (2002), Sportsmark and DfES Achievement Award (2001, 2002 and 2003). The school aspires to embrace the Gospel and its values, celebrating uniqueness and diversity. It?s learning, within an enterprise culture is based upon trust and respect, which define the relationships within the world family.
