Background: St Vincent's RC Primary School is located on an inner-city site that has been enhanced by an arts project in the nursery playground. It uses local facilities such as Regent's Park. 'The school achieves high standards in English, mathematics and science. In mathematics, the school is well above expectations'. The school provides opportunities to take part in a range of extra-curricular activities and clubs including computer club, PE club, science club, chess club, choir, orchestra, drama classes and musical instrument lessons. Over-subscribed, with two applications per place. After-school care, until 5pm. DfES achievement award (2003). Ethos: 'The school aims to deepen the Catholic faith of its children, fostering their spiritual and moral development through the teachings of Christ.
