General information
Background: Abercromby Primary School was built in 1951, the first traditional post-war school of its kind in Clackmannan District. It has spacious grounds, with good provision for recreation. The school has very pleasant surroundings and outlook and the building is well maintained. A wildlife garden provides a valuable resource for environmental education. The building originally accommodated eight classrooms, leading from one long corridor with easy access to a wide, paved terrace which extends the whole length of the classes and can be used for outdoor teaching. In addition there is a dining room with servery, a gymnasium and a very grand assembly hall. .
