General information

Background: Alloa Academy is a six year comprehensive school serving the town of Alloa in Clackmannanshire. The school opened in 1825 and moved to its current location in 1959. Its buildings were enhanced by a major refurbishment in 1989. It offers a 'standard secondary curriculum' and has three full-time and one part-time staff available for children with special educational needs (SEN). SEN staff also work in conjunction with six supervisory assistants. The school's ethos can be summarised as positive approaches.
