Background: Deerpark Primary School is situated on the eastern edge of Sauchie next to Gartmorn Country Park. The school, built in 1965, occupies a spacious sloping site with generous grass and tarmac play areas and has benefited from an extensive refurbishment. The school occupies the double storey wing containing seven classrooms, library, learning support base, tutorial room and resource room. The headteacher's office, depute headteacher's, the school office and computer suite are all housed within the double storey wing. A wide range of extra-curricular activities are offered through our after-school clubs and the school received national recognition from Education Extra for the quality of and its innovative approach to out of school learning. .
