General information
Background: St John's Primary was established as an Episcopal school in 1853, initially in Broad Street. As the school grew and developed, it moved several times, to King Street, Castle Street, Grant Street and finally, in March 1992 to Grange Road. The present school, built in 1908, is spacious and bright, accommodating 290 pupils. A nursery class, built in 1999, is designed to accommodate 30 pre-pre and 30 pre-school pupils. The school serves the West End of Alloa and is very much a part of the community. .
