General information

Background: The school occupies a modern building first opened in 1997 and since extended twice. It borders three estates of mixed housing and offers extensive playing fields. In addition to the National Curriculum, children in Year 6 learn a foreign language with the local secondary school. Personal, social and health education (PHSE) and RE occupy 'a central place' at this church school. It also offers a wide range of extra-curricular activities such as art, gardening, country dancing, football, netball, gym, athletics and rounders. Swimming is offered. The school participates in all inter-school activities with 'varying degrees of success'. As the only church school in the Deanery, it has links with a large number of parishes, works with groups in the community and helps other organisations with their fundraising.
