General information

Background: Budehaven Community School has existed as a co-educational comprehensive school since 1973, having been formed from the former Bude Grammar School and Bude-Stratton Secondary Modern School. The teaching facilities are superb and include nine science laboratories, excellent design facilities, modern technology rooms and a very impressive music suite. The most recently completed block contains 20 computer networked classrooms, a 16 station information technology room and a quite magnificent library. A sports hall, shared between the school and the local community provides first class sports facilities including a recently completed floodlit, all-weather pitch. The national curriculum covers the following subjects English, mathematics, science, French, history, geography, art, music, design and technology, physical education and religious education. The school has a wide range of sporting activities including rugby, soccer, hockey, netball, athletics, cricket and basketball. The school will provide a comprehensive education to students of all abilities, equipping them appropriately for the society and environment in which they will take their place.
