General information

Background: The school is a large primary school. It is located in a small close-knit community of mainly private terraced housing with an increasing number of rented homes. The school is organised into three phases. Foundation phase, which is nursery and reception. Phase 1 contains pupils from Year 1 to Year 2, and Phase 2 contains children from Year 3 to 6. The nursery class is accommodated in the Clayton building. All other children are accommodated in the new Forfield Road building. The school is well catered for in physical education having two fully equipped gymnasiums, two hard surface areas offering netball courts and a multi-purpose playing field where soccer, athletics, cricket and rounders take place. The school aims to provide warm and friendly atmosphere.
