General information

Background: Opened in 1964 in the parish of St John Vianney, the school is housed in 'pleasant, well maintained buildings'. It has two playgrounds, a 'good sized' football field and 'pleasant' garden areas that the school hopes to further develop. Is serves an area where the accommodation is largely owner-occupied, in a 'pleasant' suburban part of Coventry'. A 'range' of extra-curricular activities is on offer such as French, badminton, choir, athletics and a football club in liason with Coventry City football club. The school has 'very close' links with the parish community and parents and children are 'active' in the life of the parish. St John Vianney raises funds for charities including Help the Aged and Father Hudson Homes, and responds to appeals such as for Kosovo, Turkey and Sudan.
